WELCOME TO OUR ACADEMY

We have a vision at Dudley Infant Academy. It is that all our pupils develop a love of learning and have the support they need to achieve their very best.

Three simple words drive everything we do: Determination. Inspiration. Aspiration.

Our nurturing environment is founded on respect and tolerance for each other.

In September 2019, Ofsted graded us as Good - and Outstanding in ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’.

Come and see what high aspirations looks like

TEACHING THAT DEVELOPS THE WHOLE CHILD

We pride ourselves on teaching our pupils in a way that develops their character and personal values, as well as their educational abilities.

We encourage and reward children for being respectful, kind and caring, honest and trustworthy, resilient and determined. Through these core values, we aim to develop outstanding citizens of the future.

Every child’s wellbeing is important to us, both their mental health and physical development. We support this with opportunities for outdoor learning in the multi-use games area, gardens, green spaces and local community.

NURTURING THE AMBITION TO SUCCEED

At Dudley, we believe it is our role to give children the knowledge, the skills and the understanding that they need to succeed.

Our curriculum covers complex values such as equality, friendship and trust. We draw on the cultural wealth of our community to celebrate diversity. We aim to provide every child with the tools they need to reach their potential.

Pupils are taught a strong sense of morality, so that they know the difference between right and wrong and they can make informed decisions for themselves and the wider community. We teach them to embrace challenges, learn how to resolve disagreements, never give up and be motivated to succeed.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES BRING LEARNING TO LIFE

We teach in a way that will help our pupils to develop as independent and motivated learners.

We take an integrated topic approach to learning: core lessons are interwoven with wider curriculum subjects so pupils learn to recognise for themselves how their knowledge and skills link up.

Pupils share their learning with each other. This develops a sense of responsibility and motivation as learners.

Our variety of resources, the academy grounds and our ever-developing technology provision all add to the learning experiences on offer. All of which is enhanced by a range of afterschool clubs and events.

WE ARE A FAMILY OF SCHOOLS

The University of Brighton Academies Trust is a family of infant, primary and secondary schools based in Sussex.

Working Together, Delivering Excellence, Achieving Ambitions, and Nurturing Potential are the values that guide us. We support each other, sharing insights and best practice so that we never stop improving.

Our mission is to inspire our children and staff to flourish and achieve their best. It is important to us that we positively impact our communities and that pupils understand the role they can play in the wider world.

We aim to create a vibrant, inclusive community, transforming lives and broadening horizons through excellent teaching and learning.
